I was checking out various sites on my computer. Came across Edward R. Murrow. I became interested because I was a member of a patrol that came back early christmas morning. The See it now crew was there waiting for us. It was quite an experience. The only bad thing was that we could not see it or get word back to our families in time.

So now I can view it all most 60 years later. Better late then never.

So "A commitment to innovation, diversified portfolios, aggressive expansion, strong leadership, and a clear vision for the future" makes a company a world's best company? All that tells me is that it is a successful company or a profit machine.

GE is able to make billions without spending a penny on taxes. Does that make it a "best" company?

The classification of "best" needs to be better articulated and more specific in category.

Personally, I would consider Google or Turner to be one of the best companies to work for. Not only do they bank, but the employees actually enjoy working there.

What about companies that significantly give back to the community?

I saw a lot of protests outside Chung-Ang University that might throw a wet blanket on the category of best.

First it is because poor students and rich students can be kind of more equal. This is because, if there is a time limit, all students can go to the similar amount of hagwon. Before there was the curfew rich students went to hagwon until it was very late so that means they went to more hagwons while the poor students went to 1 or 2 hagwon. Also this meant rich students can only go to good high schools and go to top collages. So because all students are equal I agree with the curfew.
