Each year Korean universities like Yonsei and SNU are attracting more students (both undergraduate and graduate) as they compete for talent in the global education economy.

As of Sept. 1 a new requirement called the Vulnerable Sector Screening came into effect for all Canadian E2 Visa holders and renewal applicants. The most difficult aspect of this appears to be fingerprinting at the local police station, which may mean for those renewing applicants a return flight home.

Over 600 registrants from the ELT teaching community will attend workshops and symposia. Guest speakers and meetings will cover teacher methodology, resources, and publications geared toward improving teaching skills for the improvement of Korea’s English education.

The Harvard Univeristy Extension School (HES) offers graduate programs for the Master of Liberal Arts (A.L.M) in a wide variety of areas including Biotechnology, Mathematics for Teaching, and Educational Technology. Through distance learning in select programs, students are able to take courses and follow lectures entirely online. They can complete their degree requirements by spending at least two semesters at Cambridge, Massachusetts for capstone or final seminars.
