Ratemyhagwon is a blog that gives readers a snapshot of Korea news, teaching jobs, and culture.  While our readers are primarily current and future teachers in Korea, we also attract a wider audience of those interested in news and views about Korea.   

Just five months after first appearing online, Ratemyhagwon was nominated for the Golden Klog Award for Best New Korea Blog.   We have been hard at work ever since, posting the latest news, expanding our job section, and adding new functionality to the site for our readers.

Ratemyhagwon recently appeared in the JoongAng Daily News for organizing community volunteers who brought comfort items to over 30 English teachers quarantined for swine flu.   We like to think we’re that kind of blog.  Reporting from the center of community news, but at other times unafraid to jump right into it!
