**7-Day Quarantine Drive Continues** Updated Friday
Tuesday was a small start but it was in the right direction! We were able to deliver a small care package to the teachers under quarantine without any obstacles from the officials running the show, as per the plan suggested on Monday night at Ratemyhagwon.
First of all, thanks, KCDC, for accepting the items and for not taking us into your hospitality! Today’s package contained some personal items for a teacher there (which means if you know someone there, don’t hesitate to get involved) and also some books, balloons, and walkie talkies. We really hope that this cheers someone up / staves off boredom / breaks the ice / livens things up even for another day.
But wait! This is just the beginning of an even larger act of kindness for the 70 or so folks (now around 40) teachers in quarantine. Show your support by doing either of the following:
1. Quick service, mail, or deliver items to the SHRDC (Seoul Human Resources Development Center -link in Korean). Be sure to label it clearly ” 격리자를 위한 기증 및 격려품” which means care/comfort items for the quarantined.
Korean: 서울특별시 인재개발원 서초구 교육원길 56
Seoul Human Resource Development Center
Gyoyukwongil 56, Seocho-gu
Seoul, Korea 137-071
2. If you want to hand deliver items to specific people or just say hello, we’re suggesting a once daily meetup time so that the quarantine staff doesn’t get annoyed by supporters trickling in all day long:
Thursday and Friday through Saturday (call 010.3186.3726 for further instructions)
Nambu Bus Terminal before exit 5 | Final directions from Nambu (map)
Time: 7:30pm
Scan through this quick list of things you might want to send or lend:
Used paperbacks, Korean language study aids, DVDs, magazines, coffee or herbal tea bags, canned drinks, packaged snacks, pastries, junk food, W1000 face packs, hallmark cards (they already celebrated a birthday in quarantine!), Korean / English dictionary, disposable cameras, and more…
I’ll stop there and let you figure out more creative items, or even serenades in the parking lot? The woman we spoke with at the front door basically said the only prohibited items are cigarettes, alcohol, and anything that has an open flame (so college dorm rules apply.)
Post your feedback in the comments section!

Dig up the Cinco de Mayo remains and dress up like mariachi’s, grab your guitars and give a good ‘em a good old-fashioned serenade with lots of love from home!

Thanks so much for your support and effort. It makes us feel like there is community within the expat/ESL communities. We are doing great, and our hagwon also delivered a lot of stuff, so we’re doing fine. There have been some rumors that we may get out on Sunday now that we’re on Tamiflu. The last I heard it was still Tuesday, but we’ll see.
