Hyundai: Lost Your Job? We’ll Refund Your Car
In what is being described by the New York Times as a marketing coup, Hyundai Motors has seen its market share double over the last month, a 14-percent jump, as nearly every major manufacturer has seen their sales slump with the economy.
And if that was awesome enough, Hyundai is returning the love by being gracious with customers who can no longer afford their shiny new Genesis, the 2009 Car-of-the-Year. If new Hyundai carowners lose their job, they may be eligible for a full refund when they return their car. That’s a double-coup when you think how Hyundai can now lower their manufacturing rate while simultaneously selling their “new-used” cars at a below market rate. Selling cars is far better than selling none, as the boardroom logic goes.
