George W. Bush at the closing ceremony of the G20 Summit was given the royal wangtta treatment. Instead of shaking hands, the soon-to-be former prez seems to acknowledge at least his own shoes. Can you blame him? Yes, we can.

It’s my guess that George W. is just following photo op protocol and searching for his name placemarker on the floor.
But in so many ways metaphorical this video and his searching for his name on the floor show us how much he’s accustomed to doing his own thing instead of diplomacy.
That makes it even more remarkable that we could pick such a winner 8 years later. Are we gluttons for punishment before pleasure?
