Recession Roundup: Screw the Economy!
The Chosun Ilbo English News appears to have the blues. In this news roundup, every lead points to a slumping economy and by the looks of it most people are losing their shirts–deliberately. Take a look at the key indicators as seen on this snapshot of the Chosun News website:

So based off of this list, it appears that in a strong economic downturn people spend their dwindling paychecks on boozing, delaying nose and breast implants, continuing to have lots of sex, but not making babies, and holding off on marriage till better times.
An excerpt, on the rising sales of condoms:
Convenience store GS25 said that nationwide condom sales in 3,300 branches between last Aug. and Nov. 16 increased by 19.3 percent compared to last year. The figure for sales between January and July has tripled compared to last year’s 5.2 percent.
At times, I get confused. What do we do when the economy is roaring? BTW, we can’t get enough of the illustrations to help us visualize the state of the economy, so here they are. Must be hard times when witches turn down honk jobs from midget plastic surgeons, and men go around wearing lipstick!
