According to the Chosun Ilbo Newspaper’s second-hand report, Japanese reporters with Fuji Network News (FNN) have spotted someone resembling the eldest son of North Korea’s ailing leader, Kim Jong-nam, entering a Paris hospital to visit with their neurosurgery ward.

If it turns out to actually be Kim Jong-nam, it is not too far to speculate that he may have visited on behalf of his father, Kim Jong-il, who disappeared from public view last August after reportedly falling seriously ill.  While photos of the geriatric dictator surfaced later in October, there are no confirmed reports that he is better or from what condition he has recovered.

There were also rumors last week that North Korea was about to make an ‘important announcement’ but failed to follow through.

In this latest twist, it appears that a French surgeon is on his way to treat the North Korean dictator via personal transportation courtesy the North Korean mission in Paris.

From AFP:

“The eldest son of North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-Il is believed to have visited a Paris brain surgeon who apparently flew to Pyongyang to treat his father, Japanese television reported Monday.

Speculation about Kim’s health has swirled since he failed to appear at a key anniversary parade in early September, and US and South Korean officials say the 66-year-old recluse is believed to have suffered a stroke.

Japan’s Fuji Television showed footage from Paris of a man it identified as Kim Jong-Nam, the eldest son of the North Korean leader.

“He is believed to have met with a French brain surgeon, who later departed from Paris for Pyongyang under North Korean escort,” the network said.”
