Mac Stuff | A Betta Home Aquarium

Thanks to Angela’s post on living in a better, healthier officetel, I decided to go out and buy a pet fish.  I also did some research on buying a fish tank and found this online instead:

Pictured above is a modded Apple Powermac G4 CubeQuarium.  The acrylic shell is gutted and sealed, then filled with gravel, water, and live plants.  The habitat is perfect for a fish called betta splendens, a.k.a. Siamese fighting fish, or simpy betta fish.  Unlike goldfish they are air breathers and do not require filters.  A heater may be nice, but a desk lamp will also do.

Order a betta fish here at Greenfish or go to your local box store and pick a healthy one.

More pictures like the one above and DIY directions courtesy of Carrie and Joe.
