In one of the darker comedic gyrations of the U.S. presidential campaign, Republican candidate John McCain presided over a week of vitriolic crowds who conflated Barack Obama with terrorists.  Members of his audience shouted terrorist and other racially motivated epithets in reference to Obama, including the call to kill.   While at first McCain didn’t respond, only after the media made a brouhaha over it, he began to redress his supporters who were either totally ignorant of the truth, racist, or perhaps a lot of both.                             

Here’s the original video that captured some chuckles from both sides of the aisle when some poor old McCain supporter, frazzled, perhaps a little punchdrunk from too much FOX News, confused Barack Obama as an Arab.   She was corrected meekly by John McCain, furthering her confusion, and worrying Americans of how crazy we as a nation have become.
