Teaching has been known as a great way to start a career in many other fields.  It combines practice in the fine art of leadership, communication, and assessment into a formidable case for employment in business or an application to post-graduate professional programs.

A select few, however, have committed to a more dedicated career in education.  In order to pursue this path, one needs certification in teaching (as far as this discussion pertains to U.S. public/private education), and a Masters degree in education or educational technology can be helpful towards higher salaries and overall ease of gaining employment.
